In this interactive webinar, two national leaders in hospice and palliative nursing will discuss leadership, how to recognize and overcome imposter syndrome, and ways to make your mark. Kate DoyonKatherine Doyon, PhD, MED, RN, CHPN®

Dr. Kate Doyon is an assistant professor at Boise State University, School of Nursing. She serves on the HPNA DEIB Committee and Research Advisory Committee and is a former co-chair of the Emerging Scholars SIG. She is a certified hospice and palliative care nurse and volunteers on the CHPN® Credentialing Committee. Dr. Doyon is a member of the most recent Cambia Sojourns Leadership scholars’ program. She is passionate about mentoring the next generation of hospice and palliative care nurse scientists and mentors several nurse scholars. She is the recipient of the HPNF Research Scholar Award, the first author of the section on health equity for the HPNA Research Agenda, and a reviewer for palliative care journals and conferences including the Annual Assembly of Hospice and Palliative Medicine. Through her advocacy, mentorship, and research of equitable hospice and palliative care, Dr. Doyon exemplifies the highest standards of HPNA's commitment to compassionate care.

Kate DoyonMichelle Webb, DNP, RN, CHPCA®

Dr. Michelle Webb is an Assistant Professor in the Duke University School of Nursing, and also works as a consultant for Teleios Collaborative Network. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Indiana University, a Master’s of Science in Nursing from The George Washington University and a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from the University of Minnesota. She has diverse nursing practice and leadership experience and has held executive leadership positions in behavioral/psychiatric-mental health, home health, acute care, and hospice care. Dr. Webb is a Certified Cultural Intelligence Facilitator and Unconscious Bias Coach. Additionally, Michelle is a member of the National Black Nurses Association and currently serves as the Past-President of HPNA and the Hospice and Palliative Nurses Foundation.



Continuing Education

Attendees can earn a maximum of 1 NCPD hour upon successful completion of this webinar. Successful completion includes attending the activity in its entirety, attesting to attendance, and completing/submitting the post-activity evaluation within the timeframe specified.

Cancellation Policy

Non-Member registrants must place a cancellation request in writing up to three weeks prior to the event to receive a full refund minus a $50 administrative fee. Cancellations received less than one week prior to the event will not be refunded. Please contact the HPNA education department about cancellations at [email protected].


How to Register

To complete the registration, please complete the following steps:

  3. Add the event to your cart and click the green "Proceed to Checkout" button. There is no fee to attend, however you must complete the checkout process to fully register.
  4. Once the event is added into your shopping cart, you will need to accept the Terms & Conditions at the bottom of the page.
  5. To complete your free registration, click the Process and Submit button. You are not fully registered until you complete this process and receive a confirmation email.
