This learning activity presented by Dr. Rachel Wells focuses on Palliative Care Considerations for Advanced Heart Failure. Dr. Rachel Wells is a postdoctoral trainee at the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Nursing. Dr. Wells discusses how to optimize early palliative care models for advanced heart failure patients and their family caregivers.
Target Audience: Registered and advanced practice nurses, in hospice and palliative care
The desired outcome of this activity is > 80% of participants will indicate that this activity validated, enhanced, or will lead to a change in professional practice in providing palliative care for those living with advanced heart failure.
Accredited Continuing Education Contact Hours: 1.0-hour credit award for successful completion which includes attesting to activity participation and completing/submitting the evaluation within the time frame specified. (60-minutes per contact hour)
