Grief and Bereavement: The Role of the Nursing Assistant presented by Jocelyn D'Antonio, PhD, RN, CHPN, CT. This presentation starts with explaining the differences between grief, bereavement and mourning. Jocelyn explains what are manifestations of normal grief and what signs to watch for to indicate the patient or family members may have complicated grief. She also explains anticipatory grief and the disenfranchised griever. Additionally, tips are provided to help you to effectively help those in your care through their own grief process.
