Frontlines of COVID: Taking Care of our Patients, Ourselves, and our Families

Ab Brody, PhD, MSN, GNP-BC, FPCN, FAAN
Associate Professor of Nursing and Medicine and Associate Director of the Hartford Institute for Geriatric Nursing at NYU

This plenary session invites Dr. Ab Brody to share with us his professional and personal experience serving on the front-line during New York City’s COVID-19 Pandemic initial surge. Ab’s session takes us through a case based presentation demonstrating the value of palliative care being embedded within primary teams. He brings to the forefront the challenges of inequity and disparities in care, the importance of our role as advocates and the significance of alleviating physical and psychological suffering of our patients and ourselves.
