Dying is not a pathology. Much of the reason we find ourselves in ethical dilemmas and confusion regarding prognostication is a discomfort with death as a society. This can be partly attributed to the influence of Western Medicine. In this course, learners will:
- Review the description of typical trajectories to death
- Understand the physiology and signs of a natural death
- Recognize barriers to recognizing someone is dying
Continuing Education: Learners can earn a maximum of 0.75 NCPD Contact Hours upon completion of the course. This course is available until: 9/30/2026.
Speaker: Rebecca Gagne-Henderson PhD, APRN, ACHPN®, FNP
